Research work at the FKIE is divided into six highly specialized departments, although work is also carried out by interdisciplinary teams according to project requirements. At all times we remain focused on the application. FKIE staff always work on the principle that we should always take a mission-centric approach and so all of the concepts and methods we develop are checked on demonstration models to prove their practical suitability. Working prototypes can be developed in a very short time in collaboration with our partners and clients. More detailed information may be found in the following department descriptions.
